Is there a relationship between the Darwin "admin" group and the "Allow user to administer this computer" option in the Accounts PrefPane?


yes, sure

I'm seeing a strange phenomenon while testing some code on Mac OS X 10.3.9.
I had a user toto who had administrative privileges.
I removed these privileges using the Accounts PrefPane but when I look for the groups for toto, I still see 'admin'.

Is the admin group not reliable from an administrative point of view?


open netinfo manager

select root_domain/group/admin
    remove the user toto from the admin group
