Well, you shouldn't really do that :) YOu could have forced aclocal to look at the correct libtool.m4 either by installing GNU automake in the same prefix as GNU libtool, or by using the dirlist feature of automake: <http://sources.redhat.com/automake/automake.html#Macro-search-path>
