X11 works ok though I had a strange side-effect giving me almost
monochromatic color palletes with things like "Inferno" compiled for
PPC.
I started porting that to intel but hit a problem in the Inferno toolchain.
Any userspace binary can be universal in my experience. I'm not sure
about kernel extensions but then I never looked.
