Find drive info

Dev,

I'm trying to discover model and serial number (if any) for any devices
sitting on the ATA bus. For Tiger and Panther I don't mind parsing the
output of system_profiler.

The output of system_profiler on Jaguar is harder to parse. I'm getting
familiar with I/O Kit, but the Jaguar header files are pretty sparse.

Is the source for system_profiler available? I couldn't find it on Apple
site. Is there an easier way to get this info?
