My bad... you're correct. Sony is BluRay. ;) Microsoft is backing
HD-DVD...

I don't think so - Sony is the key player behind Blu-ray, will not be
shipping any HD-DVD hardware for the foreseeable future, and Apple

committed to Blu-ray too. But no retail Blu-ray drive yet exists
for Macs: I
suppose you might be able to hack an Xbox 360 drive to work when
they ship,
and HP has announced an external HD-DVD drive but I have not seen
any ship
yet even in N America...
Strangely, as I type this my first HD-DVD disk is beside me (King
Kong), but
here in Europe even Toshiba's first domestic player (the HD-E1) is
due to
start shipping later this month.
