Ah now you are asking for something ;-)
As the kernel is a mish-mash of many different provenances it is much
harder to start documenting the kernel APIs as there is no reasonable
place to pick up some default/starter man pages. Also most of the
CoreOS kernel team are swamped and documenting kernel APIs is down on
the list of priorities.
IOKit is the exception to the general dearth of doc in the kernel, as
it HAD to be somewhat documented otherwise it would have been
useless. However I'm reasonably certain that quite a lot of the
HeaderDoc hasn't been touched since it was first written and is out
of date.
In the end, I suspect, the kernel will never have 'decent' docs.
Thank goodness all you kernel hackers are such good programmers ;-).
Cheers
Godfrey

On a somewhat related note, is there any chance y'all could build a
section 9 of the man pages containing the header docs from the Kernel
framework, cross-referenced, etc?
Thanks,
