Oh boy, I feel your pain!

Both the problem - crash in stack-unwinding code - and the prospect of creating a vetted test case. Been there.

I suspect DTrace could help...

I just used /Developer/Applications/Instruments, a CPU Sampler temlate, then attached to the running process.

I'm getting a stack trace in real-time...
