can darwin stream .amr files?

Hi,
I'm current using DSS to stream music. I'm using a 3gp file, but not
with video, just a amr_nb sound.
I use mp4box to hint the 3gp file.
It's working great. No problems.
Since I just use sound, no video, I' trying to stream just a ".amr"
file not the ".3gp". I tryed but it's not working. I didn't hint the
file, since it doesn't work with mp4box.
Here are my questions:
1) does DSS support stream ".amr" file?
2) how can I hint a .amr file?
