Why is sleep an interruption? One of the things that really annoys

I don't experience this. MY ssh sessions perfectly survive sleep/wake-
up, as long as
a) I get the same ip address on wake up
b) the remote session didn't try to send something long enough before
the wake up (otherwise it will notice the other end isn't there anymore)
c) the remote server didn't close the connection due to inactivity
I've had ssh sessions survive several hours sleeping already.
