Dynamic library in C++

Hi all

I have to write a dynamic library to communicate with serial ports
using the system APIs (POSIX APIs) in C++. Mac OS provieds the
following types of dynamic libraries.

1. BSD Dynamic Library
2. Carbon Dynamic Library
3. Cocoa Dynamic Library

Which one would be suitable for this purpose.

I think I will have to write BSD dynamic library.  Kindly suggest me.
