Is Darwin dead ?
At the beginning of Darwin project, the announcement was about Darwin
OS, with Darwin release number. The last one was, I think, Darwin 9.7.
It seems to me that the Darwin operating system is fading out. For Mac
OS X 10.5.8, no word about Darwin 9.8.
My question is not about the open source projects under the Darwin
name, but only about Darwin as a standalone operating system.
I have a little history of Unix systems on my web site, and I am
thinking about not talking about Darwin OS for the future releases (in
particular for Mac OS X 10.6). I only want to have Apple feedback on
that little question :-)
Thank you.

Unix is not only an OS, it's a way of life
