Are you sure you want to pass arguments at launch time? What happens when the application you are launching is already running? AppleEvents might be a solution.
Or you might take another look at Technical Note TN2083 and turn your approach around: Have agent apps in each GUI session that contact your daemon, not a daemon that launches a GUI app.
