proper path for third-party binaries?

  • Subject: proper path for third-party binaries?

I was made aware that I should not install binaries in /usr/sbin by
a fomer opendarwin project member. Although /usr/sbin would be
the proper place if the binary was part of Mac OS X, what is the
proper location for stuff that is not officially part of Mac OS X?

In this case it is the wake(8) wake on lan command.
