Asking once is enough. People on these mailing lists are for the most part volunteering their own time and resources to help each other, and pestering because of *your* deadline is not going to endear you to them.


If you need the information urgently, why not download the kernel sources and take a look yourself to see what the code actually does? That's what many of us would have to do to answer your question anyway...
