You can also post questions on a voluntary mailing list, and then wait for a reply.
However, you seem to assume that
a) somebody has already come across this specific problem
b) they are subscribed to this mailing list and have read your message
c) they need some goading on your part to answer your question
No ill intention meant, but thanks for the sermon though ;) But, to shortly answer a-c:
a) Yes, since this is such a specific problem and with the Mac OS X developer base out there I really thought this must've
been encountered before (which it indeed has, see more below).
b) Well, if there is someone subscribed somewhere who knows the answer to this, it would be this list, would it not ?;)
c) Sorry for that, it was not meant to look that way. A reaction to my a) assumption I guess...
First when I googled the problem I didn't find anything I thought relevant, but I tried again and got:
http://stackoverflow.com/questions/3535518/qt-on-os-x-building-a-10-5-compatible-application-on-10-6
so someone has come across this before, but there does not seem to be any clear answer how to avoid the problem :(
For the time being, I'm going static with the C++ library...
Regards
/Rob
