IOMedia Child instance and diskutil...

Hi All,

I am utilizing Filter Scheme Kernel module using IOKit.
The child media exist on "/dev/disk2s2s1" and is mounted and parent media "/dev/disk2s2".
I have set property ("Writable" = No) of the disks (/dev/disk2s2 and /dev/disk2s2s1) to be read only.
When i use "Disk Utilty" application i am unable to erase "/dev/disk2s2".
But when i use "diskutil erasedisk" command it erases the disk. It seems it does not value the property in ioreg.
What should i do so that "diskutil erasedisk" does not erase my parent media. 
Also, diskutil commands event is not received by the child media methods like stop, free. How to manage this?
