FWIW, a large percentage of the memory in the system is being wired
for OS-Bypass networking via IOMemoryDescriptors which describe
userspace addresses. Is there a restriction on the amount of wired
memory in the system, such that if you have a lot of user memory
wired, kernel memory allocations will fail?

That would be handy information.
