WINE only works on X86 architectures, it does not convert X86 opcodes
to anything else, but instead provides libraries that emulate windows
API's so that X86 Windows binaries can run on an X86 UNIX platform (AKA
Linux, FreeBSD etc). So, while WINE may compile and work on X86 Darwin,
it wont be able to do any good for you on PowerPC based Mac OSX.

libwine might have something you can use.
Is it possible to compile WINE under darwin? I haven't been able to
compile any distributions.
