Is there a book out there that i can buy that will help alot?
Well I posted about an RPC system that used MIG to communicate between a
KEXT and user land daemon, this works currently, however Jim and Quinn
both don't like it because the kernel isnt a true mig task and there are
naked rights floating around, etc.
The way Quinn suggested to me to do KEXT to userland communication is
using sockets, which I believe WebDAV uses. So you might want to look at
WebDAV's source which is in Darwin and see if you can figure out how to
make it work for yourself.
You might also want to look at the source for syslogd and the syslog()
call if its in xnu or whereever, since this also does kernel to userland
communication.
