DA was rewritten between 10.2 and 10.3. There is a new "almost public"
API now that you need to use.

In the file /etc/mach_init.d/diskarbitrationd.plist you can add
-d to the "Command" string to turn on debugging which ends up in like
/var/log/diskarbitration.log or some such.
