Checkout FrameSeer:

It's a reasonably-priced shareware app that puts a good GUI around
tcpdump. It decodes header fields, offers several kinds of graphical
traffic maps and is really helpful in presenting tcpdump's output in a
useful fashion.
I normally look askance at paying for products that are largely free
(tcpdump is doing the heavy lifting) but in this case there is real
added value. This app is a godsend for someone like me who needs
tcpdump only occasionally and thus finds it impossible to remain fluent
in its CLI use or to justify the cost of the commercial alternatives.
Best of luck with your adaptor problem.

PS: I have no association with this company other than being a happy
user of the product.
