It you have another machine (Linux?) available, it's possible (albeit
non trivial) to set up 2 machine debugging from it.
I followed the instructions I found at:
http://www.hta-bi.bfh.ch/~riepg/misc_cross.html
and successfully compiled a version of gdb, that I could use to
remotely debug a Mac from a SuSe Linux box.
