You can't. It's just ornery sometimes, and you have to deal with it.

Pressing on regardless is one option but is not generally helpful. Wait and retry is usually better. Or you could decide, depending on what's being done, just to scrap this request. That would be appropriate if you're dealing with lossy transmission, for example.
