cpu_number() in Tiger...

Looks like today is my Tiger port question day.
Is there a way of getting cpu_number(), i.e. what cpu is the current
thread running on?
I can see it in struct thread's machine.PerProc.cpu_number but so far
I haven't been able to find an accessor for it.
