Hi folks,
I'm trying to get 2-machine debugging to work correctly but am having
difficulties with the target machine. I read the Two-machine debugging
section in WritingDeviceDriver.pdf. This section mentioned various steps
to set the 2-machine debugging.
I'm able to successfully follow the 9 steps, but I'm not able to get the
step 10 which says that the Target m/c should break into kernel
debugging by mentioning that we have to use "Command-Power" on USB
keyboard and "Control-Power"on ADB keyboard. I'm using PowerPC G4 with
USB keyboard. I tried using "Command-Power" buttons and able to hear the
long beep but after that I'm not getting "Waiting for remote debugger
connection" message instead I'm getting "Welcome to Open Firmware"
message.
How will I put my PowerPC G4 machine in kernel debugging mode??
Also what exactly is programmer's button as mentioned in debugging
section???
Thanks in advance,
Yogesh Pahilwan
