I'll try that :-) However, making drivers for cards has come
up a few times recently, so eventually I'll have to find a way
to compile a kext. Since I've already started that,
I'll continue to try to get the basic HelloIOKit to compile and
load, so I can use that later on.
I just wish Apple would provide some decent developer
documentation :-( I've been wasting too much time puzzling
things together in the past, rewriting existing classes
because I couldn't get them to work etc (just a few days ago
I made an animated image class because setAnimated:YES and
loading an animated GIF simply didn't show any animation, and
I couldn't figure out what other things they want to be set)
... kexts are at a much lower level than Cocoa, but it seems
Apple does try to keep the documentation quality at the same
level for everything... :-(
Thanks,
Christian
