I'm still curious about the reasoning though, it's definitely a very
odd thing to want to do. To make
things more difficult for the OP, I should note that the currently-
running kext may not have been
loaded from a path that means anything to the app asking. What is
the 'path' to the mkext cache,
or the kernelcache, particularly if the system was netbooted?
