Is there any dummy provider

  • Subject: Is there any dummy provider

Hi All,

Is there a class that I can use as provider when I am writing a virtual driver ?

I want to create virtual serial ports for PPP in /dev and in the same driver i want to use socket APIs to talk to remote board/machine connected thru Ethernet. That is any application can use the virtual serial port that my driver has created and send data to the remote machine/board connected thru ethernet.

I am using Apple16X50Serial as reference but it has IOPCIDevice as provider. Hence it fails the probe.

I want to prevent this and it should go on to create the virtual serial ports.

Kindly help.
Thanks in advance.

Pavan.
