I have tried a few ways of loading it all end with the termination of
the daemon. First way I tried was a exe call to kextload, this causes
my app to terminate and but the kext does load. The other way was
using NSTask launchedTaskWithLaunchPath, with the same result. To
answer your question is the I don't know how or what path to start
looking in for for a solution.
thanks,
Rob

I have a kernel extension and a daemon program that communicate

load the kernel extension and then connect with it, this is all
done at the root user level.
So, when you say "can't", you mean you don't know how?
This may be the wrong list to post this to, not sure, if it the
wrong list please advise as to what list would be appropriate.
This is an appropriate list.
