I need to develop a Filter driver to plug-in into the MAC File System in order to 'filter' the read/writes to the files and process the same as per the need of our product.
I have been doing kernel programming since long but I have worked only on Unix/ Linux. I am completely new to MAC OS. Also I have never worked in the File System Area. Can anyone suggest me links/ documents/ white-papers which explain: 1. kernel programming on MAC (essentially for File System Filter Driver) and 2. File system Internals in detail (BSD File System)
Perhaps you should read Amit Singh's excellent "Mac OS X Internals".
You should also note that a "MAC" is not a Mac or a Macintosh. ;)

Indeed. MAC refers to Mandatory Access Control. It's a mere acronym, Dhan. No need to beat him up ;D |
