This /is/ no firmware prompt on Intel-based Macintosh computers [1].
Or if not is there another way to retrieve a mistake of this sort?
Astonishingly, 'zapping the PRAM' still works and will get you out of
this sort of situation. Hold down command-option-P-R at startup
time. The same procedure works on your OF-based machine.

[1] As shipped by Apple. You can go grab an EFI shell from various
places and install it on your system, but it's not there by default.
