Which brings us full circle.
Terry, I was simply trying to point out that they're useful. You
guys have already said in a few places that they're not supported and
that's fine, but when the documentation _is_ the code, people are
going to do stuff like this when it suits their purposes. We weren't
fortunate enough to have so much timely and detailed feedback from
Apple engineers on these lists back then.
Having said all that, your statement that subdirectories don't get
you around the node name limit was simply not true.
