I suspect I'm probably the only Xen guy subscribed to this list ;-)
Vanderpool / Pacifica can be leveraged by Xen, but it doesn't require them.
It *does* need them if you want to run fully virtualised guest OSes (e.g.
Windows and Legacy OSes).
The support for using these features is fairly comprehensive now, but there's
on going optimisation and robustifying.
