you login with the username >console and no password, it will give you
a non-graphical login.
If you have an XServe, you can also use the serial console, instead.
I tried looking into this, but I did not find how to do this. I guess I have forgotten to mention that I am using a MacBook Pro, with Pentium chip. Therefore, there is no Open Firmware. Basically, when I boot my laptop, it goes directly to the login with my name already there, which is unchangeable. How do I then set the boot arguments? Do I have to something like nvram then?
