Hi Guys,
I want to know that, What is Kernel Hook Modules and
It's a Trend Micro name for a kernel module that, once loaded,
overrides critical system call entry points on Linux for the Trend
Micro anti-virus product "Server Protect 2" with their own code.
Is it possible to implement the same in Mac OS X ?
No.
Kindly suggest me some resources and also that from where its better
to start.
The proper KPI for virus scanning as of Tiger is kauth. Search for
kauth on <http://developer.apple.com/>, or attend the KPI or kauth
sessions (or whatever replaces them) at the next WWDC conference. The
kernel developer labs are also recommended.
