volumeIsBootVolume

I'm facing such a problem:  a bootcamp Windows partition disappears from Startup disk (Preference pane) after installation of our fs-plugin.
It is also known that volumeIsBootVolume field of FSAliasInfo is equal to "false".

So, does anyone know how is volumeIsBootVolume's value obtained? And is the problem really because of the wrong value of volumeIsBootVolume's?
