Loading Kext at Boot Time

  • Subject: Loading Kext at Boot Time

Hi All,

I've my application which has kext and user daemon. Presently i'm using System Startup item to load kext and launch user process/daemon.

Now my requirement is to load the my kext at boot time. I've seen some apple documentation  on this ( http://developer.apple.com/documentation/Darwin/Conceptual/KEXTConcept/KEXTConceptLoading/loading_kexts.html).

I've specified the   OSBundleRequired property value as Root   and disabled the startup item to load kext. I've restarted my machine and opened terminal and grepped for my kext from kextstat. Its evident that my kext is not loaded.

I've also tried the same by sending touch command to System/Library/Extensions folder  , still not loading my kext.

Can any one help me in solving this Problem.

   Thanks in Advance.

- JanakiRam.
