dtrace with kexts?

  • Thread-topic: dtrace with kexts?

Hi all,

Can I currently use dtrace on OSX to investigate my kexts, either entry/return, or with static probes?

I came away from WWDC believing "yes" but, after trying for a while and after reading a few (older, but still post-Leopard release) posts here, I'm now thinking "no".

Could someone please confirm this for me?  If dtrace can be used, could you please point me to any relevant documentation/examples/anything?

Thanks very much,

Bruce
