I believe the problem is due to the fact that Bootcamp does not use the legacy Master Boot Record. Does anyone know if there is a way to configure the MacBook Pro to use a legacy Master Boot Record or if there is some other way to run Acronis? If I can’t run Acronis, does the MAC O/S have a way to backup a single partition (in this case the Windows partition)?
You can mount a NTFS or FAT32 partition at least read only under MacOS X and use any MacOS X backup tool to do file by file backup and of course you can use "dd" to make a 1:1 image copy of the whole partition (or use DiskUtility for the same)
