I'm curious to know if anyone else has seen a similar problem? Or if not, can anyone point me at the darwin source bundle that the VFS code lives in so that I can try and figure out for myself? (I've found
http://fxr.watson.org/fxr/source/bsd/vfs/vfs_journal.c?v=xnu-792, but I just don't know if this code is used in 10.5.5). The timing suggests that the problem was introduced with 10.5.3 which I installed on 5/30. Thanks for your help!
My hardware looks as follows, with a hardware raid card with 3 drives in it right now:
