I don't know what your problem is, but all global variables are
implicitly initialised to zero, so that’s not your problem. I would
guess that the problem lies with your code.
In any case, unless it’s for debugging/testing purposes, I can’t think
of a reason why you’d ever want to run sudo that way. There are almost
always better ways of doing things so perhaps you could explain what
you’re trying to do, although this list perhaps isn’t the best place
for that (sudo isn’t really the darwin Kernel).
