This is where someone with more knowledge of the system (UNIX?)
internals may want to chime in...
Exec is actually a system call, whereby the current process starts
running a new executable.
What Terry recommended would work as you're not creating a new
process, but rather are replacing your current text (and data) with
that of the new executable.
