Thanks for the reply. I moved ahead with the project because the sharedipnotes.rtf file that was in the project tree states this: "This is the initial release of support for "shared IP address" use for Classic/Blue Box and Mac OS X."
If I want to get access to emails at the kernel extension level then what type of NKE should I write and is there any documentation or sample code to help me get started. Basically I want to filter out/modify emails based on some conditions irrespective of the email client. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks, Deena

I am trying to build the open source SharedIP project which is a NKE on MAC OS X Server running 10.6 version of Snow leopard. It builds fine but while loading the kext I get linking error. Using kextlibs gives undefined symbols error for: _in_pcb_letgo_port _in_pcb_new_share_client _in_pcb_get_owner _in_pcb_grab_port _in_pcb_rem_share_client
I am unable to find these symbols on my system. How do I go about resolving this problem.Has anyone been able to use SharedIP on Mac OS X. |
SharedIP is an obsolete piece of technology that was only used to support Classic. The SharedIP code has simply been yanked out of xnu, including support functions.
