Ok. I missed an step (can't research and watch barcelona at the same time :-})

I am getting the popular status 5 after task_for_pid. 

Before I make the change to /etc/authorization,

Is this really a solution?

Sorry for the newbie question:

I am trying to inject some code into another task, I assumed that the authentication required by gdb was enough but I am getting a "invalid destination port" error. I know the task is right because I am sending  mach_task_self () to the controlling process.

Which other authentication is required?
