Future of Kauth?

I noticed in the latest documentation that the KauthORama sample has been labeled as a "Retired Document" with the following notice:

"Important: This document is part of the Legacy section of the ADC Developer Library. This information should not be used for new development."

However, the KAUTH interface does not appear to be deprecated.   Is this basically because the sample needs updating or should I be concerned that the open interface to KAUTH is being phased out?
