I have followed these directions to build the Yosemite kernel, using the specific versions of the source and dependencies given here:
http://shantonu.blogspot.com/2014/10/building-xnu-for-os-x-1010-yosemite.html
When I boot with the kernel, I get a panic originating from the kext AppleMobileFileIntegrity. To fix it requires an nvram reset to remove "kcsuffix=local" from the boot args, then booting into the recovery partition and executing 'touch /Volumes/Macintosh\ HD/System/Library/Extensions/'
I have tried this for all 2782.*.* xnu versions available from apple, and the same outcome occurs, though the precise errors are different (sometimes I just get the prohibitory sign immediately upon loading). I cannot figure out a way to debug because this is a laptop with no ethernet port, so I cannot use the core dump server method.
The specs for my box are:
Late 2013 Macbook pro retina
2.8 GHz Intel Core i7 (Haswell)
I would really appreciate any advice on resolving this issue!
