We've had the same difficulty with DTS and the lack of support for
Macs. The software that Shawn mentioned, DBSign.exe, is of course
Windows-only. It is worth noting that the software was developed by
Gradkell Systems, and implemented in the Defense Travel System under
contract by a large consulting firm. The issue of DTS support is really
something we should direct at the DTS office - I'd be glad to join you
in contacting them. Apple's support of the CAC is actually
substantially better than the third-party implementation in Windows, so
with the right code it must be possible.
In general, I take the position that the public funds we're responsible
for managing should be used to create systems accessible by the widest
possible number of computers - not just one platform or browser.
