Michael,
Mac OS X Server supports the management of WebDAV access (http://).
Mac OS X Client supports Via the "Connect to Server..." (<Command>-K)
menu option and the entering of the corresponding server information,
you can access the Server using WebDAV.
For Example: http://YourHost.Domain.name/
Refer to the Server Manual or even the brief reference to WebDAV in the
FileServices Technical Brief.
http://www.apple.com/server/documentation/
Does this help address your need ?

I am totally new to WebDAV... All I know is that my .mac account works

I am setting up a server that will allow users to store all of their

on a central XSERVE w/XRAID.
I would like to use WebDAV to do this (as opposed to Samba).
I'll whip up a quick VB application to mount their webdav disk (very
similar
to the way the Windows iDisk utility works from .mac).
The goal is to allow users to drag and drop files to their mounted
WebDAV
disk while they're on their regular machine.
I want them to have the ability to log in to the website and get their
files
via the web if they are remote.
Has anyone done this? If so, any good starting points to make this
happen?
Basically I am trying to put together an "iDisk" for our entire
agency, run
on our own servers.
I have a deadline of January 12th to make this happen, so any help
appreciated. If all else fails, I can use samba for windows clients,
and
AFP for apple, but would prefer webdav, as I really like how the .mac
iDisk
works.
Thanks,
Mike
