FYI
About Asterisk install package for Mac OS X
A complete IP-PBX in software. It runs on Linux, FreeBSD, MacOS X and
Solaris and provides all of the features you would expect from a PBX
and more. Asterisk does voice over IP supporting all major VoIP
protocols (IAX, SIP, H.323, MGCP, SCCP) and it can interoperate with
almost all standards-based telephony equipment using relatively
inexpensive hardware.
Asterisk also provides Interactive Voice Response (IVR), Voicemail and
Call Conferencing services. It has support for three-way calling,
caller ID services, ADSI, call centre queue management, call monitoring
and many more features. For a more complete list of features please
check the Features section on the official Asterisk project web site
(www.asterisk.org).
The MacOSX build of Asterisk comes as a MacOSX install package and it
installs in only 10 seconds on a G4 867MHz. Associated AppleScript
clickable script apps for basic control tasks and Cocoa based GUI Setup
Assistants are also available (Like Asterisk, licensed under the GPL as
free software).
