Title: RE: More CAC issues [was- [Fed-Talk] PKINIT and Kerberos
George, Point made and taken. Thanks for the document title.
I'm not allowed to talk to DOIM directly, but given the title, I'm pretty sure I can find it. :)
Why do I feel another fire drill in the making? :)
Presuming Macs are still allowed to use the wire as they do now, then the entourage client should connect to the server, (Presuming OWA is also active, which is also a requirement or entourage 2004)
Mr Sanderson: We too are still on Exchange 5.5; your Mac users should still be able to use Outlook Web access from their own desk, presuming OWA is enabled on your server. True, OWA has no calendar function, but that doesn't bother my users - they don't use the calendar)
It does sound like a knee jerk reaction...none the PC users there have never gone an over-mailbox quota?
If that were so, then I would have very few users on the server - almost all of my users have gone overquota at some point.

Implementation memorandum NETC-EST-IA, Subject: Army Implementation of Two-Factor Network Authentication for User Accounts and Compliance with Homeland Security Presidential Directive-12 (HSPD-12), dated 1 Nov 2005, signed by the CIO/G-6.
I don't know the distribution; but undoubtedly your DOIM should have it.
Also, the latest service pack for Office added much greater compatibility between Entourage and Outlook: a good update. But again -- all the capability in the world is useless if you can not even "connect". And I don't think -- someone prove me wrong I hope -- that you would be able to "connect" with Entourage alone if not on the network and able to see the server and the server see you.
